Similar to the venerable Velox Tressostar cotton tape, Newbaum's is made in the USA instead of France, and has a little bit larger sticky area on the back. Colours are handsome and rich, made with eco-friendly dyes. They take shellac very well and it's easy enough to do at home. Here's a helpful guide on how from our friends at Velo Orange. Shellac'ing, although not absolutely necessary, will help protect the tape from wear and discolouration.
