C&L Cycles, two neighbourhood bike shops established in 2009 and headquarters of Bassi bikes, is an eco-friendly and dynamic business that prides itself in being in close contact with the Montreal cycling community.

Current openings:

Retail Manager (978 Rachel Est):

Under the co-owners' supervision, the retail manager plans, organizes, directs and controls activities regarding day-to-day management of the retail portion of the 978 Rachel Est store. They ensure that the needs of clients are met while also managing the store's supplies.

  • Roles and responsibilities:
    • Inventory management (levels, orders, transfers, counts) at the 978 Rachel Est location,
    • Assisting the warehouse team with web store sales and in-store pickups,
    • Customer service (phone, email, and in-person),
    • Retail wall re-stocking,
    • Receiving customer bikes for repairs and creating work orders,
    • Assisting and managing salespeople,
    • Managing the cleaning, maintenance, and improvement of the store.
  • Pre-requisites:
    • 2 years of customer service,
    • 1 year of supervising or managing peers,
    • CNESST first aid in the workplace certification (C&L can provide a refresher course),
    • Written and spoken fluency in French and English,
    • Basic knowledge of bike mechanics,
    • Advanced knowledge of bikes, parts, and accessories,
    • Familiarity with Lightspeed (or similar POS system), Apple, and Microsoft Office software.
  • Full- or part-time availability starting in March 2024, including weekends and evenings,
  • Starting wage of $21.33/h, adjusted according to seniority and experience.
Salesperson (978 Rachel E.):
  • Roles and responsibilities:
    • Greeting and helping customers,
    • Making sale transactions for bikes, parts and accessories,
    • Retail wall re-stocking,
    • Participating in periodic inventory counts and adjustments,
    • Cleaning and maintenance of the store.
  • Pre-requisites:
    • 1 year of customer service,
    • Basic knowledge of bikes, parts, and accessories,
    • Written and spoken fluency in French and English,
    • Familiarity with Lightspeed (or similar POS system), Apple, and Microsoft Office software.
  • Full- or part-time availability starting in March 2024, including weekends and evenings,
  • Starting wage of $16.84/h, adjusted according to seniority and experience.
