Create an accountGive these a whirl if you want to try something different than synthetic rubber. Wool felt has a tactile quality that some say feels "grounding" or "comforting".
These DIY grips are from the creative mind of Grant Petersen, founder of Rivendell Bicycle Works. He loves the feel of wool felt on handlebars. To him it feels even better than cotton. They don't get sweaty and seem to stay just the right temperature in a variety of weather.
The thick felt sheets (about 1/8", one pair included) have an adhesive back to aid in installation. Finish it off by wrapping with a little twine to keep it in place. We've seen some people use rubber bands to offer extra grip or maybe they don't know how to tie a good knot. A common grip on Rivendell complete bikes has a layer of wool against the bar, then a wrap of cotton around it.
In Grey or Black.
