These Post Mount Equal Disc Brakes from Growtac provide excellent modulation and power with a compact and lightweight design - perfect for your gravel, touring, or all-road bike.

The extremely high level of quality of Growtac brakes comes from total design of the brake system, including cables and pads. Special hard outer casing with less deformation for high transmission efficiency and an inner slick stainless steel cable for lightness of lever pull make the brake feel superb.

The brake pads are made of resin-based ceramic semi-metal (EVO RESIN) friction material and aluminum back plates for high braking power and durability. All the performance you need for your brakes in high quality. Of course, it all comes as a set.

The modulation is predictable, the caliper and system stiffness is confidence-inspiring, and the lever feel is natural and comfortable - offering superior performance compared to most other mechanical disc brake calipers on the market, equal to good hydraulics.

Shimano K-type pads (without cooling fins) may be used as replacements.

Equal brakes are developed and manufactured in Japan.

  • Cable Pull: Road, short pull
  • Japanese-made cables and housing included!

What's included in the box:

  • 2x Growtac Equal Post Mount Brake Calipers
  • 2x road brake cables
  • 2x mtb brake cables
  • 2x compressionless housing (stiff)
  • 2x non-compressionless housing (flexy)
  • Bunch of housing endcaps

Note: please consult your frame and fork's manufacturer to determine if you need any adaptors, spacers, and the like. Post mount-to-IS adapters are cheap and readily available but are sold separately.

Oh, and go read Growtac's "Concept and Data document", it's more of a manifesto for good mechanical brakes than an engineering paper. It's a fun read, no kidding!
