This is our everyday bottom bracket, and has been for the last decade. The alloy version is light but tough, with sealed bearings, while the steel version (see related products below) is heavier but more affordable. The axle is CrMo steel in both cases. All you need is a regular Shimano-style BB wrench and some grease, and you're good to ride.
BSC threading (1.37x24TPI)
JIS taper (that's the normal one, not the track or Campy one)
Shell width: 68mm
Guidelines for Bassi cranks:
These are for our own cranks and have been checked by us on Bassi frames. Use your own judgment for other combinations.
** Bloomfield, and possibly other wider-tired track bikes, requires longer 113/115mm spindle to achieve clearance.
Orders over a minimum threshold ship for free within Canada, with a flat rate for smaller orders. International orders are calculated, and US orders will have tariffs applied in the cart as a line item.
