When you deal with C&L Cycles or Bassi Bikes, you're writing or talking to humans! We're a small team in Montréal, speak French, English, Spanish, and more, and from the start we've known that what makes us stand out (and enjoy our jobs!) is our personal approach to bikes and to our work.

We write everything on this site, in our emails, and in our other communications ourselves. For some product descriptions, there can be some text copied from the manufacturer or the vendor but even that isn't plugged in blindly, we make sure it makes sense with how we think about bike parts and accessories.

Illustrations are usually made by friends of ours who ride bikes with us and happen to be talented illustrators. Same goes for photographs.

This isn't a policy intended to go into fine details, but rather reaffirming what we hope all our clients, friends, and partners know already: we don't autogenerate text, use AI tools, fake any images, or anything like that. We're convinced that our customers deserve better than LLM-generated slop.

Is the text clunky sometimes? Maybe! We might have been tired or pre-coffee when we translated something, it happens. Enjoy the authenticity if you can make out what we meant (and let us know if it makes zero sense).
