In recent years, Rivendell has moved beyond their previous frame-only offering and begun selling complete bicycles. These are specced with very high quality parts, often with friction shifting, a rapid rise rear derailleur, a strong and beautiful crank, and smooth sealed-bearing hubs from their own Silver line of components. Cockpit parts are frequently sourced from Japanese handlebar maker Nitto. The result is a well-thought out bicycle, and - compared to building up one of their frames as a custom - probably the most affordable way to get a new Riv!
