Smooth-riding all-rounder tire
Description

This is probably our favourite tire, and goes on most cycles we build. It rides like a dream, with good grip and decent suppleness (that's what makes you both comfortable and fast) in most road conditions. Sizes are pretty true.

We only sell the version with puncture protection, because we ride this tire on Montreal streets and on road and gravel tours, and the regular version is a bit too fragile.

The 700x32C Paselas were installed on my old 60’s Peugeot as the default commuting tires by Jean-Michel at the Villeneuve shop. The ride quality improvement is drastic! The bumps are just enough to feel the but old steel + pasela tires = best combo for commuting in Montreal. Worth the upgrade, and they’re available in funky sized like mine, too (just ask at the shop for a tire change). The muds isn’t stuck in the center so that’s cool. If anything, I wish were a tad bit wider… but they’ll fit on just about any bike. Not the cheapest. Can’t testify to how well they’ll hold up over time, but it you puncture sidewalls I feel like you should ride tubeless MTB tires at this point - how? Overall happy.

I rode the 26 x 1.75" version of this tire for a couple of years on my commuter. Absolutely fantastic tire, with good ride quality and excellent puncture resistance -- I literally had zero flats in over 2 years of daily Montréal commuting. Maybe it helped that I was riding the high-volume tire, but remarkably durable tire.

While the treads are puncture resistant the sidewalls are very thin. When you do get a sudden puncture you're liable to skid on the sidewalls as you come to a stop. This shreds the sidewalls so deeply to the point that you can see your innertubes through the surface, making your puncture resistant tires a write off.
