Our standard groupset for the late-2023 revision of the Hog's Back complete bikes (ok, maybe we'll use a silver chain instead of gold...). It's a good set of choices for an affordable, straightforward simple to maintain transmission that's focused more on nimble climbing than on breakneck speeds.

Includes:

  • Bassi Narrow-Wide crankset Low, black, 38t
  • Microshift XCD rear derailleur, black, 11 speed clutch
  • Microshift 11 speed cassette, 11-46
  • Microshift XCD shifter, 11s
  • KMC X11 gold chain

Not included: bottom bracket, brakes, hubs, the rest of the bike, but we have suggestions if you ask
