Basically the entire crew here live in apartments, and our Montréal walk-ups actually tend to have plenty of balcony storage. In winter, it's not like we're hanging out there, so it's tempting to store our un-used bikes there. Without protection, however, I'm sure I don't need to tell you how quickly the snow and moisture will cause everything to seize and rust (and UV isn't great for anything rubber, either.
