A rain cape is, in this cyclist's opinion, by far the most comfortable way to ride in the rain all day in the summer or in shoulder seasons. Its waterproof fabric keeps the rain from soaking you, but the wide open bottom lets air in to keep you cool. Unlike with rain pants and a rain jacket, you won't wind up just as wet from sweat as you would have from the rain. I don't know who the bloke in the pictures is, but if you want to see one in action, catch me at our coffee rides, there's a reason they happen rain or shine.
A note on colours: "Breen" is Carradice's new colour, a greenish brown. Navy is navy. Green is the traditional Carradice waxed duck colour and it's incredibly dark when new, you'll think it's black, but with use and age its dark green colour will show up and will remain.
A further note on fenders: they kind of make or break a rain cape. Water flying at you from underneath isn't great.
