The B17 is the flagship Brooks leather saddle model, ideal for long distance sports touring, trekking and MTB use. The Standard models feature black steel rails and steel rivets. The B17 Special features copper plated steel metalwork, and both the B17 Special and the Titanium also feature hand hammered copper rivets. The B17 model has been on the market for over 100 years, and is available for gents and ladies: the B17 (gents) and B17 S (ladies).
This Softened version is the same shape and dimensions as the standard, but is meant to be comfortable on day one, rather than requiring a break-in period of several hundred kilometres.
Originally designed for women, the short version of the Brooks B17 is suitable for everyone who feels more comfortable with a shorter saddle nose than those of traditional Brooks B17 saddles.
