Borrower's Agreement
You will be asked to sign a version of this form in person when picking up any applicable lent items.
1. Persons must be aged 18 or over to borrow equipment from the C&L Cycles Gear Library (CLCGL).
2. Prior to borrowing items, all Persons must (a) register for a customer account with C&L Cycles; (b) accept the Waiver and Indemnification Form; (c) accept this Borrower’s Agreement.
3. The CLCGL recognizes that equipment may be shared within groups. The person who has borrowed the items to be shared assumes all responsibility and liability for the item.
4. Equipment can be borrowed at the CLCGL for up to 3 days. There will be no possibility for extensions or longer borrowing periods. Please plan accordingly.
5. All equipment borrowed is to be returned to CLCGL during open hours. All items are subject to a preauthorization of the total item value, to be released once the item is returned in good condition.
6. If an item is not returned within 3 days, the full value of the loaned items will be charged to the Borrower’s card. Upon return, this charge will be refunded minus a processing fee. Please respect borrowing limits and do not return items late.
7. The CLCGL will try to accommodate any requests for reservations for items in advance. The borrower will fill out the Reservation Request Form on the Gear Library page of the CL Cycle website. All reservations are subject to availability and require confirmation from a Staff Member. The borrower will need to collect the reserved equipment on the agreed upon date or the reservation will be considered forfeit and items will be released back into inventory.
8. Staff members are available to assist in explaining the operation of equipment. However, by taking possession of any equipment, the borrower is certifying that they are capable of using that equipment in a safe, responsible, and prudent manner.
9. The borrower agrees that if any borrowed equipment becomes unsafe or in a state of disrepair, they must immediately discontinue use of the equipment and notify the CLCGL of the issue on return, if not earlier.
10. The CLCGL reserves the right to refuse the loan of any equipment item at its discretion.
11. The borrower is responsible for ensuring that the information that they provide is current, true, and correct and shall update this information if it changes. The CLCGL reserves the right to verify information provided.
12. Failure to comply with any of these rules and regulations may result in revocation of borrowing privileges and/or legal action. Borrowers relinquish any and all claims against the C&L Cycles Gear Library.
