Okay this is a weird one. The picture shows a more silver version like we had in previous years, and that's not what Dia-Compe sent us. Call it dark silver? I'd say it's halfway between silver and black but definitely not "black" as if it was painted that way, the chrome just came out a bit odd. The colour of the plating is apparently variable batch to batch. We still love it since it's a perfect little part that fits our bikes.
