Steel singlespeed all-around frame, designed in Montreal
Description
A continuation of our urban track bike heritage, but now way more useful and practical on all kinds of roads and lifestyles.
It being our lightest and most compact offering, the Bloomfield is perfect for tight urban spaces. The fender mounts and generous tire clearance make it an amazing winter commuter, and it can rando too!
Colours are not necessarily representative when viewed on a screen. Please be prepared to accept slight differences in hue from the colours you see here.
Please note that the lowest set of eyelets on the fork and on the seatstays are for fenders only. They are not meant to bear the load of a rack.
Bassi frames ship for flat rates in Canada, the US, and Europe. Please contact us for a quote in other regions.

Bassi Bloomfield Frame & Fork V2
BLOOMFIELD V2
While the V1 Bloomfield was intended as a continuation of
our original track frame, the Roma-Tokyo, the V2 is where the page is
fully turned. This new Bloomer plants itself, if you will, as it’s own
thing, dropping some of the track bike aesthetics and wheel standard in
favour of more practical choices.
It being our lightest and most compact offering, the
Bloomfield is perfect for tight urban spaces. The fender mounts and
generous tire clearance make it an amazing winter commuter, and it can rando too!
We kept the same zippy-yet-comfy geometry of the V1 but added a few things.
Here’s what’s new:
V-brake / Canti brake bosses, compatible with 650B wheels only
Rear brake cable housing stops
Threaded plate at the bottom of the fork column for front fender installation
Here's what stayed the same:
Straight fork and agile geometry
Forged horizontal rear dropouts in 120mm spacing
650Bx48 tire clearance (650Bx42 w/ fenders)
Hidden eyelets for fenders, fork eyelets for randonneur racks
Bottle cage eyelets
1" threaded fork for use with threaded headsets and quill stems
Although Bassi frames, as well as many others, go through many quality control steps and come almost immaculate from the factory, some imperfections may still arise. Usually, paint is the culprit by being applied slightly unevenly or being oversprayed and covering some threads. The result, in the case of a headset or a bottom bracket, is uneven surfaces or imperfect planes which can cause binding and/or premature wear of the bearings. Bottom bracket and headset bearings work at their very best when they're perfectly in line and parallel to each other! In the case of overspray on the threads, it can make fender or rack installations more of a headache than they need to be. With the help of C&L's very fancy facing, chasing, reaming and tapping tools, installing parts on your new fully prep'd frame will be a breeze!
With a Frame Prep Labour on a new or newly painted frame, we will:
Face the head tube and bottom bracket shell
Ream the head tube when necessary
Chase bottom bracket shell threads when necessary (almost never)
Tap threaded braze-on eyelets
Face flat mount brake caliper contact points
When you add a Frame Prep Labour to a Bassi frame purchase, we'll install new in-stock headsets and bottom brackets for free!
