The tried-and-true way: more metal. This rim is obnoxiously heavy, at over 700g each. We recommend it for heavy riders or very heavy bicycle loads, and you should consider if the extra weight is really worth it - will you be lifting the bike, travelling with it, etc. For 99% of the bikes we work on, normal rims such as the CR18, Rhyno Lite, or Hplusson rims are plenty strong and durable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe spoke drilling angle on the Andra lends itself especially well to large-flange hubs, such as internally-geared hubs and dynamos.
