They aren't drilled, so they can be custom-fit to every bicycle exactly the way you want. It's a bit more work but a well-installed fender lasts a lot longer since there's less stress on it. They are full-length and will protect not only your butt, but also your bottom bracket, your headset and your shoes. Add a little homemade flap to the front and rear for total protection, including of your riding buddies behind you.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou should choose a fender that will fit in your frame spacing while leaving about 1cm total tire clearance. Honjo helpfully provide a profile diagram, and many styles are available in either 700C or 650B radii. If you have 26\" wheels you can use the 650B fenders as long as your tire clears, the wheel circle is pretty close in size.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe \"smooth\" fenders go well with almost any bike.
